As an asian woman who grew up in China most of my life, the secrets or tips about beauty are mostly related to the way of life.
It is a common knowledge for women in the orient that their elemental asian beauty secrets are depending on healing foods from the nature such as herbs, fruits, and certain parts of the animals that provide essential nutrients to the body. The purpose of the site is to provide some references about how to look and feel beautiful at all time.
Many cultures have realized that the type of food eaten, how it is prepared and how it is eaten has a powerful effect on our health and appearance. The Chinese, believe true beauty come from within, with their insight into Qi, which is the subtle energetic working force of the body, have set out clearly how various foods affect different organs, and how diet may be changed to counter the effects of climate and lifestyle.
In the orient, people believe optimum health and well being can be acheived by the combination of meditation, food, exercise, massage, herbs, and acupuncture.
I have also quoted the summary of beauty tips of Korea, Japan, and China from the Book published by Dr Marie Jhin.
Korea:
“Centuries old herbal and healing medicines are helping modern cosmetics companies developcutting-edge anti-aging skin care creams, such as Amore Pacific’s Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginger cream and their other top-selling line- Moisture Bound Rejuvenating Crème formulated with deeply hydrating “divine water” or bamboo sap. Bamboo sap is also rich in antioxidants. Both qualities (deeply moisturizing and antioxidant rich) have been, and are, enjoyed by Korean women in regenerating skin for a fresher, more youthful look. The results? Improved brightness and radiance , firmer skin, and a reduction in theappearance of wrinkles.”
Japan:
“Japanese beauty aesthetics are returning to tried and true secrets that are nature-based. From the healing facial of nightingales to seaweeds, black and red beans, and eating seasonally and locally, it’s a healthy return to nature’s pharmacy in looking good-with natural products.”
“ Japanese culture also recognizes the importance of rebalancing daily living with peaceful serenity- by engaging in meditative practices, such as the tea ceremony, meditating on nature, and making time for quiet time.”
China:
“Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has been healing and promoting beautiful living for longevity and well-being for over 5,000 years. The efficacy of TCM continues today with Western medical practitioners integrating acupuncture, acupressure, and herbal medicines into their practices.” Most enduring of all are three common threads linking Korean,Japanese, and Chinese medical wisdom in promoting good health for beauty:Nature-based healing by prevailing on the plant and animal kingdoms for herbal concoctions. Food-based for nutritious healing that also promotes culinary enjoyment. Energy-based in rebalancing the body’s vital force (qi), blood, and lymph so internal harmony promotes good health—and is reflected on the face and skin. All three are products courtesy of Mother Nature and a testament to the efficacy of natural healing for beauty and lifelong Well-being.”
